About the role:
As a Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient
operation and performance of a field-based team, including trade and technical
staff as well as trainees. You will provide day-to-day supervision,
coordinating closely with Project Managers, Schedulers, subcontractors, and
customers to manage workloads and ensure successful project outcomes.
Role Responsibilities:
-Supporting
Project Managers and Design Estimators with estimating, pre-work scoping,
and reviewing work methodologies
-Participating
in job handovers, pre-planning, and closeout meetings
-Conducting
site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project
scopes
-Ensuring
field documentation, GIS data capture, as-built information, and testing
is completed accurately and on time
-Supporting
switching activities as required
-Promoting
a proactive safety culture and ensuring all work is completed in line with
HSQE standards
-Participating
in project reviews, capturing lessons learned, and identifying
opportunities for improvement
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
-Minimum
of two years' experience in New Zealand electricity distribution systems
-Strong
knowledge of LV and HV distribution networks and zone substations
-Proven
experience planning and delivering projects or jobs successfully
-Demonstrated
leadership skills with the ability to manage a field team effectively
-Strong
problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
-Excellent
organisation and workload management skills for yourself and your team
-Commitment
to achieving positive outcomes without compromising Health, Safety,
Quality, and the Environment (HSQE)
-Computer
literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel (minimum)
-Excellent
verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills,
ideally in a multicultural environment
-Integrity,
composure, and a strong customer-focused mindset
-A
collaborative team-player attitude
