About the Role

Based out of our Rydges Wellington Airport location, this role will be responsible for for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, across our 3 new airport F&B venues, starting in early October 2025.

Key Accountabilities

• Beverage Preparation: Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences. This includes mixing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and preparing coffee and other non-alcoholic drinks.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking drink orders, and offering menu recommendations. Address any customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
• Bar Maintenance: Ensure the bar area is clean, well-organised, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and liquor. Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as washing glasses and utensils.
• Compliance: Adhere to all relevant alcohol service laws and regulations, including checking identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent over intoxication.
• Handle Payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing bar inventory, including restocking supplies, placing orders, and keeping track of inventory levels.
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Experience

These are the desired skills and experience for this role:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
