We have an opportunity for a Player Coach to join our Software Testing Area in Auckland. As a Software Testing Player Coach, you will be accountable for helping to build world-class capability in your chapter and be an ambassador of the new culture and ways of working.
Your key Responsibilities will include:
- Work with the Chapter Area Lead to drive the direction of the teams
- Manage a team of Software Testing Engineers
- Empower the team members to give their best
- Implement a culture within the Tribe, Platforms and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation.
- Ensure the "how" of the work performed by Chapter Members is aligned with established roadmaps, standards, best practices and other guardrails.
- Through leadership and drive, create a delivery environment which results in exceptional employee and customer satisfaction.
- Work in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions.
- Provide ongoing support for Tribe, Platforms and the Chapter
- Contribute to Engineering communities, meetups and conferences to promote technology development culture and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 2+ years of technical expertise in the relevant capability
- 2+ years of experience developing, coaching and engaging technology professionals
- Good experience in test automation (Playwright/Selenium)
- Experience with functional testing and agile delivery
- Team mindset with a passion for learning and mentoring
- Excellent knowledge/experience in the application of Agile and Scaled Agile
- Experience in resource planning and allocation within and across organisations
- Growth mindset
