Learning Design Specialist

As a Learning Design Specialist, your day-to-day would look like

• Contributing to the successful refresh and modernisation of Tower's frontline learning from design, development, implementation and roll-out.
• Working closely with the Learning Design Practice Lead, Training Specialists, SME's and stakeholders to drive an improvement in learning performance outcomes. This includes identifying key learning requirements and competencies and focusing on the refresh and development of new and updated learning resources.
• Developing the overall design look and feel of the new material in a way that the resources created can be updated and iterated into the future.

During your time with us, success will look like:

• Designing new or refreshing existing current learning resources to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and learner-centric.
• Creating self-paced modules, exercises, workshops and assessments to help develop learners' technical processes, system competence and customer conversational skills.
• Ensuring refreshed learning resources allow leaders to rapidly onboard and upskill their people without necessarily having the support of a dedicated trainer.
• Always looking for ways to connect all learning solutions to the way we work at Tower and to show social proof that our Values and Strategy are at the core of the work we do at Tower.
• Playing a role in ideation and testing sessions with SMEs to iterate and finalise learning material. Contributing to the facilitation of these sessions with the Learning Design Practice Lead and Training Specialists.
• Contributing to and participating in planning and backlog management, (sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups and retrospectives).
• Coaching trainers and SMEs to adopt and use the newly created materials and learning methods.
• Working in a transparent way, contributing to updates and reporting that will ensure the smooth running of the project, meeting governance requirements.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• 3 years' experience designing and delivering learning for Frontline or contact centre audiences.
• 1-3 years' experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry preferred.
• Instructional Learning Design utilising adult learning principles.
• Scenario-based learning design for customer-facing audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Assessment design (practical assessments, scenario-based checks, simulations etc).
• Technical authoring experience for self-paced learning design (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Rise, Chameleon, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar).
• Video & Audio creation and editing skills.
• Basic graphic design familiarity for visual storytelling, layouts and accessibility.
