Kaitohutohu Senior Advisor – Business and Infrastructure
As the Kaitohutohu Senior Advisor – Business and Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in championing Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Rautaki Māori principles throughout WSP's business and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities include embedding mātauranga Māori into the strategies and projects we deliver for our clients, ensuring cultural values and perspectives are at the forefront of our approach.
A central aspect of your work is to build strong, enduring partnerships with iwi, hapū, and Māori enterprises. By leveraging the extensive expertise and technical service offerings of WSP, you will bring added value to these collaborations, fostering mutual growth and success. Your unique skill set and technical knowledge are essential in bridging disciplines across the organization, allowing you to deliver integrated solutions and ensure that our clients benefit from the full breadth of WSP's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify market trends and opportunities for Māori Business Advisory Services.
- Develop strategies integrating mātauranga Māori and iwi aspirations.
- Provide expert technical advice to iwi and hapū to unlock business and infrastructure opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with iwi, hapū, Mana Whenua, and industry partners.
- Collaborate across WSP sectors to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute to technical project delivery for Clients.
- Drive innovation and promote knowledge-sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
- Deep understanding and lived experience of te ao Māori, te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
- Ability to integrate mātauranga Māori into strategies and projects.
- Technical discipline experience and/or qualification.
- Strong networks with iwi/Māori entities and mana whenua.
- Experience in business development within professional services.
- Excellent communication and client-centric approach.
