This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $56,881 to $80,303 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
It's an important job maintaining our most precious assets - water, health, and the environment – and here's your chance to be involved.
You will assist with the day-to-day operation of the drainage network, ensuring a continual drainage service with minimal interruptions. You will work on both the wastewater and stormwater networks to:
- Ensure a free-flowing wastewater and stormwater piped network
- Minimise sewage overflow and pipeline infiltration
- Install new connections, complete network repairs, and clear blockages
- Inspect and provide routine maintenance of problem areas within the drainage system
- Construct and adjust manholes and pipelines

About you
You will ideally hold experience working independently on a range of basic repairs across the drainage network as well as:
- Experience operating small plant and machinery
- The ability to use technology (i.e. iPad or tablet) to record information
- A full, clean driver's licence is a must
- An understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- A reliable, hard-working attitude
- The flexibility to work on a roster than includes shift work/standby
