Cycling New Zealand is searching for a creative dynamo to lead the charge in digital storytelling. If you're passionate about sport, community, and making Kiwi cycling shine, this is your moment

What's the gig?

You'll be at the heart of our digital presence—capturing the thrill of events, profiling athletes, showcasing sponsors, and sharing the vibrant story of cycling in Aotearoa. From social media wizardry to video production, you'll help us build a thriving cycling community.

Please note that this role is in office based in Cambridge in addition to national and local events (no WFH or Hybrid).

What you'll do:

  • Create & Curate: Develop knockout content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and our website.
  • Event Coverage: Be where the action is—mountain bike, BMX, road, track, cyclocross and schools. Capture the buzz from club to high performance glory.
  • Video Magic: Plan, shoot, and edit videos for training, athlete profiles, and campaigns and events.
  • Sponsor Shoutouts: Keep our partners in the spotlight with strategic, scheduled promotion.
  • Digital Management: Keep our website fresh (RocketSpark), assets organised (Dropbox), and visuals stunning (Canva, Adobe Suite).

What you'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in design, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in content creation, social media, and video production.
  • Proficiency with RocketSpark, Dropbox, Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media scheduling tools.
  • A knack for storytelling, sport, and community engagement.
  • Top-notch organisational skills and the ability to thrive solo or in a team.
  • Bonus points for sports media experience, accessibility know-how, and basic graphic design/photography.
