We are looking for a talented and experienced Supervisor who has a flair and passion for customer service, and will assist our Checkout Team to deliver the best customer shopping experience possible.
It would be an advantage to have had experience supervising and training staff, preferably having worked in a busy retail or supermarket environment.
The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced checkout or retail supervisor with a minimum of twelve months experience
- Motivated and driven by helping other team members to exceed their expectations
- experienced in managing the sale of alcohol or ideally hold a current managers certificate
- Committed to maintaining high personal presentation standards of self and others
- A people person with a focus on delivering a superior customer experience
- A practiced communicator who can remain calm and confident in high pressure situations
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with staffing at the Checkout to maintain high levels of Customer service
- Assisting with any customer enquiries and supporting the front-line checkout staff in their role
- Being a key factor in creating a friendly and helpful environment for customers and staff alike
- Ensure all sales are conducted efficiently and that liquor, tobacco and other age restricted product purchases are sold in compliance with law and company policies
- Actively promote health and safety and food safety initiatives throughout the department.
This is a full-time position working Tuesday – Saturday, one closing shift will be required and hours will be discussed at an interview.
