Overview

We're seeking a high level, reliable warehouse operator who can take a lead role across our new DC based in Islington. Working closely with the warehouse supervisor, this role will be all encompassing and suit someone with a broad skillset and experience working in a FMCG warehouse environment.

The hours will be 7am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours).

We are also seeking a part-time-permanent warehouse operator. Base hours would be 7am to 3.30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (24 hours). Extra hours will be available from time to time. If you wish to apply for this role, please state as such in your application.

Importantly, this DC is opening in February 2026 and these roles will be commencing February 9th. The successful candidate(s) will need to be available to fly to Tauranga to work and train in our Tauranga DC for 1 week, before starting in the Christchurch DC on February 16th.

Role Summary

A warehouse assistant is a crucial part of ensuring customers get their orders on time. A warehouse assistant will be physically fit and energetic, show initiative and enjoy working with a close-knit team whilst carrying out their duties.

The warehouse assistant role carries many responsibilities related to stock management and requires great attention to detail and efficiency. This will ensure excellent standards of inventory records and timely delivery of customer orders.

An ideal warehouse assistant will be also able to take direction and advice whilst managing the busy duties of the role.

Key Responsibilities

As directed by the Warehouse supervisor – This includes, but is not limited to:

· Unload and count new consignments of stock

· Picking orders accurately and productively

· Maintain a clean & tidy work area & warehouse

· Maintain excellent standards of recording and filing all reports, stock adjustments, cycle count

· Loading or unloading stock into carrier vehicles as well as containers

· Stock relabeling and/or repackaging

· Restocking floor stock areas & keeping accurate quantity figures on bulk stock.

Experience using a Bendii forklift will be advantageous, but not critical.
