Personal Assistant to General Manager – Social Services & Board Support
Permanent | Part-time | 20 hours per week

Presbyterian Support East Coast (PSEC) is one of New Zealand's largest and most respected providers of social and health services. Our dedicated East Coast team includes over 200+ staff and 100 volunteers delivering compassionate, high-quality services through Enliven, Family Works, and our two PSEC Charity Shops.
We're seeking a proactive, experienced Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to our General Manager – Social Services, while also contributing to Board Secretary and Executive coordination. This is a varied, people-focused role where your organisational excellence and relationship skills will help strengthen our mission to make a positive difference in our communities.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality, timely and confidential administrative support to the GM - Social Services and leadership team
- Coordinate communication and workflow across multiple Service Managers and projects
- Manage reporting and contract systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality business cases, RFP's, and project documentation
- Schedule, coordinate, and minute Senior Team meetings
- Build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Provide back-up support to the Board Secretary and CEO's Personal Assistant
What you'll bring
- At least 3 years' experience in an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant role (ideally in health or social services)
- Exceptional organisational, writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- A self-starter with sound judgement and the ability to prioritise under pressure
- A collaborative and professional communicator who builds trust across all levels
- A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative and improve processes
- Respect for Māori tikanga and commitment to PSEC's mission and values
- A current, clean driver's licence
