Restaurant Manager

We are looking for a professional and customer-oriented Restaurant Manager to join our team in Whangarei, Northland. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and a passion for ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience.

Key Duties:

• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency.
• Lead the recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff, adhering to company standards and expectations.
• Foster exceptional customer service among employees, ensuring guests feel welcome and comfortable at all times.
• Create and manage staff schedules effectively.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team for weekly stock orders.
• Check in deliveries, match orders, and handle daily banking tasks.
• Prepare necessary paperwork related to stock and employee timesheets.
• Manage cash balances and minimize waste.
• Ensure a safe work environment for both employees and customers.
• Address and resolve escalated customer complaints.
• Provide high-quality service in response to customer inquiries and needs
• Handle the purchasing and pricing of goods.
• Manage budgeting and financial transactions.
• Collaborate with chefs to plan menus.
• Organize and set up special functions.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Assist in taking customer orders when needed.
• Train and supervise both waiting and kitchen staff.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week, and you will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour

Other Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience OR a level 5 or above qualification.
• Availability to work on weekends, late evenings, and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability with a focus on operational excellence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
