The Role

We're looking for a Front-End Technical Lead to help shape the next generation of BidOne's digital platforms. You'll guide a small, talented squad to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable front-end experiences that connect thousands of foodservice businesses globally.

This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll still write code, review pull requests, and get into technical design discussions, while mentoring others and setting direction. You'll help your team grow, make smart trade-offs, and bring a spirit of collaboration and curiosity to everything you do.

What You'll Do

• Lead front-end engineering within your squad, setting technical direction and driving best practices
• Build and maintain high-quality, scalable, and accessible interfaces using Svelte (or similar modern frameworks such as React or Vue)
• Collaborate closely with Product and UX to deliver thoughtful, customer-focused experiences
• Mentor developers through code reviews, pairing, and structured feedback
• Shape architecture and design decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and performance
• Champion quality, testability, and simplicity in everything the team builds
• Help grow an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing team culture

What You'll Bring

• Deep front-end experience with modern frameworks (Svelte, React, Vue, etc.)
• Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience leading or mentoring other engineers in a product-focused environment
• Familiarity with CI/CD, observability, and cloud-based delivery pipelines
• Collaborative, empathetic communication style — you enjoy helping others succeed
• Pragmatism — you know when to optimise and when to ship

If you've worked in product teams or led projects where you helped others grow, that's a big plus.
