About the business

MAF NZ Ltd is a subsidiary of global agro-robotic specialist MAF Roda who manufactures high quality grading, sorting and packaging lines based on "state of the art" electronic and mechanical technology for the fresh produce industry.

Due to MAF NZ's strategic growth plan we are looking for a proactive, efficient and highly capable candidate to join our friendly collaborative team.

About the role

Working on MAF Roda projects will require the candidate to be strong in computer systems, networks, trouble-shooting, installation, commissioning, configuration and optimization of grading software solutions.

Solving customer challenges specific to the NZ produce industry will keep you busy through adapting and developing MAF Roda sizer software, grade standards and electrical/mechanical systems to support our equipment solutions.

Working with NZ pack houses in Kiwifruit, Apple, Citrus, Cherry, Avocado and Blueberries you will become a subject matter expert in automation servicing, robotics and MAF Roda proprietary software systems.

The advantage of a diverse work environment whether it be locations (office and site) or project types between the many different machinery MAF Roda manufacture (Sizer, Packing Robots, Palletisers, Tippers and more).

Flexibility with hours as there is the need to communicate with developers in France.

Skills and experience

Computer software skills and self-learning ability to further develop these skills. Excel, Visual Basic and SQL sever knowledge.

Strong fault finding, diagnostic, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

On job experience.

Mechanical skills will be a great advantage as this will be required on install projects to help the team.

Strong Health and Safety knowledge with specific application to plant and equipment controls, safety systems and controllers.

Ability to work under pressure and driven to achieve deadlines with commitment and an enthusiasm for customer service, automation, mechanical and electronic equipment.
