Mount Wellington, New Zealand Bureau Limited Full time NZ$120,000 - NZ$160,000 per year

Step into a management role with a highly respected construction company, where internal growth is celebrated, and people come first. With the current lead moving up within the business, we're looking for a confident and experienced Quantity Surveying Manager to take the reins and lead a high-performing team.

The Opportunity:

This is more than a job — it's a chance to become a senior figure in a business that values integrity, long-term relationships, and delivering quality work. You'll oversee a team of 2 QSs while managing your own portfolio of projects (ranging from $5M–$20M), working collaboratively with the Pre-Construction team and contributing to strategic decisions.

What We're Looking For:

  • A natural communicator and mentor with a collaborative leadership style.
  • 10+ years of QS experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership or team management role – the majority of this in NZ.
  • Strong understanding of NZS 3910 and local project delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Confidence in leading team meetings, reviewing project financials, and identifying risks.
  • Note: a current NZ work right is essential

What You'll Bring:

  • A focus on team engagement and performance.
  • A solutions-focused approach and proactive risk management mindset.
  • The ability to oversee procurement, reporting, and cost control on live projects.
  • A desire to shape internal systems and processes
  • An innovative mindset
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • The ability to support the professional growth of the team and actively celebrate successes along the way. Being a positive leader is essential.

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary circa $150K–$160K (negotiable for the right person).
  • A healthy pipeline of diverse, secured projects.
  • Family-first culture with strong leadership and low staff turnover.
  • Professional development supported at all levels.
  • A fun, inclusive team with a strong social calendar.

Interested?

Apply via SEEK with your CV or contact Megan on for a confidential conversation.

Please note: Full NZ work rights and local experience are essential.
