About Us

We are a Lower Hutt based, 3rd generation family owned and operated School Photography business. We do all our printing, laminating, and packing of school photographs in house, with our small team of seasoned professionals.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is:

  • Technically Proficient: Skilled in operating and maintaining digital printing machinery (Fuji silver halide minilab and dye sub-ID card printer) and photo-editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop).
  • Detail-Oriented & Accurate: Possesses a meticulous approach to quality control, colour matching, and finishing.
  • A Problem-Solver: Able to logically troubleshoot technical issues and quickly identify solutions to ensure smooth production.
  • Organised & Efficient: Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As our Photographic Printing Technician, you will be crucial in the entire production process. Your duties will include:

  • Image Processing & Editing: Making necessary adjustments to digital images using editing software to enhance quality and correct colour.
  • Printing & Production: Using advanced photographic printers to produce high-quality prints, laminating prints, trimming prints, printing Id cards, and making foyer boards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting rigorous quality checks on all prints to ensure clarity, precision, and adherence to specifications.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and minor adjustments/repairs on all photo lab equipment and machinery.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitoring and managing stock levels of chemicals, paper, laminate, and other supplies.
  • Workflow Management: Organising print jobs and managing production schedules to meet delivery deadlines efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a print production or photographic lab environment.
  • Expert knowledge of digital printing processes and machinery.

Start Date is January 21st, 2026.
