The Role
Reporting to the Network & Security Project Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering exciting new projects, including a major network security initiative focused on operational technology (OT) environments.
You'll work closely with a tight-knit team of five in NZ, collaborating with global teams led out of Australia. Your responsibilities include:
- Implementing, monitoring, and managing local and wide area networks for maximum uptime.
- Supporting system configurations, documenting installations, and managing upgrades.
- Maintaining and improving existing network infrastructure.
- Participating in an on-call roster (1 in every 4-5 weeks) for a 24/7 operational site.
This is an onsite role with flexibility in working hours to allow for avoiding traffic.
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of networking experience in enterprise environments.
- Advanced skills in Cisco Networking (switching, routing, security solutions).
- Strong knowledge of FortiGate Firewalls (configuration, management, troubleshooting).
- Expertise in industrial network security, OT/IT convergence, and segmentation strategies.
- Familiarity with PERA Model and security zone design (Levels 0-4).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI environments and security policy implementation.
- Strong documentation skills.
Certifications
- Cisco CCNP (Enterprise/Security) or equivalent experience.
- Fortinet NSE 4+ or equivalent FortiGate experience.
- CCNA (required).
Experience with Operational Technology (OT) network implementation is highly advantageous.
