You will be the Human Resources Manager for a hygiene and sanitation services Company, responsible for ensuring the operational hygiene standards of cleanliness at some of the largest Food Processing facilities in the country.

You will be managing and coordinating the Human Resources processes of various sites by providing contingency, mentoring and coaching of the Site Managers and assisting with administration support. This will be achieved by:

  • Promoting the well-being of all staff through appropriate HR policies and procedures.
  • Promoting equal opportunities within the workplace and assisting with training/succession planning.
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and pre-employment processing of all new staff.
  • Liaise with your direct report on continuous review, assessment and improvement of the recruiting processes and systems.
  • Conducting analysis and building rapport with employees both pre-and post-placement.
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR requirements.
  • Coordinate, draft, and advise on all employment relations matters, disciplinary action, performance management, and grievances.
  • Establishing professional networks throughout New Zealand with recruitment and resourcing networks.
  • Assisting with administration tasks inclusive but not limited to data entry, trending and tracking of HR data, etc.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a HR role.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills particularly in coordinating, educating, relationship management and creating influence on a Human Resources Platform.
  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of others through establishing clear goals, providing training and promoting the HR function throughout all facets of the business.
  • Functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at high level of accomplishment, which includes driving continuous improvement, building relationships, and ensuring all company policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Knowledge of HR procedures, inclusive of an understanding of employment law and standards.
