You'll become part of a small, committed team focused on breaking down barriers and delivering whānau-centred care. Our approach ensures whānau have improved access to maternal wellbeing services and better outcomes for māmā, pēpi and whānau. We work in partnership with our practices, communities, and people to achieve equitable outcomes, guided by our values: Manaakitanga, Whanaungatanga, Kotahitanga, and Pono.

We're excited to invite an enthusiastic Kaiāwhina to join our Team. You will:
- Provide culturally responsive support and coordinate access to health and social services for hapū māmā, pēpi, and whānau experiencing maternal distress or related challenges.
- Foster strong relationships with whānau, local communities, and partner organisations to promote maternal and infant mental health and deliver tailored health education and promotion activities.

If you are grounded in Te Ao Māori and passionate about whānau-centred support, we encourage you to apply.
Essential:
- Builds trust and communicates effectively with māmā, pēpi, whānau, and partners, demonstrating cultural competency and respect.
- Identifies and responds to maternal mental health needs, including risk assessment and appropriate referrals, while delivering education and support in plain language.
- Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, maintains accurate records, and manages multiple priorities with strong organisational skills.
- Engages in ongoing learning, supervision, and self-care; holds relevant qualifications and experience, with a focus on supporting whānau wellbeing and accessing community resources.
