We're seeking a standout Associate to strengthen our Employment team in Auckland.

You'll be supported in growing your practice, leading client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of a team that's nationally recognised for excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Has 5–7+ years' post-qualification experience in employment law
  • Brings a strong foundation in employment legislation and case law
  • You'll bring proven expertise in employment law, with the confidence to lead mediations and represent clients in proceedings before the Employment Relations Authority (ERA)
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrates commercial awareness and a practical approach to legal advice
  • Enjoys building and maintaining trusted client relationships

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert, commercially focused legal advice and representation to clients on a broad range of employment law matters
  • Lead and support mediations and ERA proceedings
  • Draft legal documents, including employment agreements, policies, and settlement documentation
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to internal training and development
  • Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to thought leadership
  • Maintain high standards of compliance and professional conduct
