About the opportunity:

An excellent opportunity for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic property development and construction team based in Mount Maunganui. This is a hands-on position covering cost estimation, procurement, and delivery of premium townhouse and standalone housing projects. The role involves close collaboration with senior leaders and consultants to ensure successful outcomes from feasibility through to completion.

Role description:

Responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration across residential developments, while supporting project delivery and performance tracking through all stages of construction.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and maintaining cost estimates, budgets, and cashflows
  • Managing tenders, procurement, and subcontractor contracts
  • Liaising with consultants, suppliers, and contractors
  • Monitoring cost-to-complete and project financials
  • Supporting development and construction teams with reporting and compliance
This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities:
  • 2–5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Project Coordination
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with excellent Excel skills
  • Sound understanding of NZ building codes and contracts
  • Proactive communicator with attention to detail and initiative
