We're seeking an experience and service-minded professional to join our luxury lodge team. The Duty Manager / Senior Host ensures the seamless daily operation of the lodge and delivers exceptional, personalised guest experiences. This hands-on leadership role oversees front-of-house service, coordinates the daily rhythm of the property, and supports the team in maintaining the highest standards of luxury, comfort, and hospitality. Acting as the key contact for guests, the Duty Manager / Senior Host embodies the lodge's values of warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring all departments deliver consistent, five-star service.
  • Welcome guests with genuine warmth, manage arrivals and departures, and anticipate individual needs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling requests, feedback, and service recovery with grace and discretion.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, kitchen, and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain impeccable presentation standards across all guest and public areas.
  • Supervise and support front-of-house staff, providing training, guidance, and motivation.
  • Manage property systems, reservations, and guest accounts accurately.
  • Make operational decisions in the absence of senior management.
  • Uphold health, safety, and compliance standards at all times.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality, lodge management, or front-of-house leadership.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a natural flair for hosting and service.
  • Professional, confident, and calm under pressure with a hands-on approach.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellence in presentation and service.
  • Proficiency in hotel or property management systems
  • Flexible and available to work weekends, public holidays, and varied shifts as required.
