About the job

In this role, you'll initially use your highly organised and customer-focused approach to support the work of our busy Technology and Product Team.

You'll then have opportunities to grow your career with ComplyWith, and this is likely to include playing a key role in supporting the product and underlying technology.

This is a full-time role in our Product and Technology Team, based in our Wellington waterfront office.

What you'll be doing

You'll quickly come up to speed with our applications, processes and systems so that you can:

  • Become a ComplyWith application expert:

  • Your most important job will be to immerse yourself in the ComplyWith suite of products and understand them inside and out.

  • You'll master the functionality, spot opportunities for improvement, and help our internal team get the best out of our products.

  • Follow support and product processes:

  • Monitor communications for support requests and acknowledge and gather information on them.

  • Update the planning boards, and help keep the team on track.
  • Update documentation and help guidance as features change.
  • Update product and team metrics.
  • Gather and collate information and estimates from developers and the rest of the team as required.

  • Follow development and operations processes:

  • Do recurring tasks that are required to keep the product healthy and safe.

  • Find ways that these tasks could be automated, and help automate them.
  • Expand the operational processes as we grow and mature.
  • Always be looking for ways to improve processes.
  • Help with releases as required.

  • Read code and suggest fixes for small bugs:

  • While this is not a development role, being able to suggest fixes by reading the code will be expected.

  • Testing:

  • Helping with Quality Assurance, and other levels of testing.

  • Give feedback on ideas and features before they get to the development stage.

  • Support the wider team and business, including:

  • Supporting internal projects

  • Contributing to process and team efficiency improvements.
  • Proactively completing recurring and ad-hoc admin tasks, including:
  • Updating project plans, and organising sprint ceremonies and other meetings.
  • Research tasks.

You'll also have the chance to grow your career with the opportunity to become more involved in the technical operations and product development of ComplyWith as a whole.

How you'll know you're successful

You know you're doing a great job when:

  • The team come to you as the first person who would know the answer to those tricky product questions.

  • Operations tasks are humming along smoothly, and we have full confidence in any automations.

  • You receive positive feedback and are highly valued by customers and key stakeholders for your responsiveness and impact

  • You're proactively completing regular tasks and anticipating the product and team needs.

What you'll bring

You'll have an organised approach and can grow with us as ComplyWith continues to accelerate.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Smart with the ability to demonstrate a growth mindset and the ability to rapidly learn in a technical environment

  • An interest in the interface of the law, technology, client needs, and innovative creative thinking
