Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a commercial construction company in based in Grey Lynn delivering high-quality projects.
About the Role
Based in Grey Lynn, this role will see you working across a range of commercial construction projects across Auckland including education buildings, public buildings and multi story apartments/hotels. You will be responsible for end-to-end cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take off quantities and prepare budget estimate and detailed pricing
- Prepare quotations and tendering, contract documentations
- Source competitive material prices and subcontractor quotations
- Manage the procurement of subcontractors/suppliers
- Prepare payment claims and variation orders
- Verify/sign-off subcontractor and supplier invoices
- Monitor project cost against budget
- Assist with project closeout tasks
- Complete and agree client Final Account for payment
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying
- Must have some experience working in the NZ construction industry to be considered
- Strong understanding of NZ building codes and contracts (NZS3910 preferred)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
