About the role

• We are seeking a Service Technician to join our well-established Invercargill team, working on a diverse range of service and maintenance tasks across the energy industry.
• This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will spend much of your time in the field, trusted to deliver high-quality results, while being supported by a team of skilled colleagues who want you to succeed.
• Carry out service, maintenance and repair work on critical technical equipment across customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues to ensure minimal disruption to customer operations.
• Install and commission new systems and equipment to specification.
• Complete all job documentation, reporting and compliance requirements accurately and on time.
• Work closely with colleagues and customers to plan and complete tasks efficiently.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times to keep yourself and others safe.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, being reliable and delivering quality work.

About you:

• You will be an experienced technician with 3 plus years of industry experience and a strong foundation in mechanical work.
• You will understand how machinery works at a practical level. You can diagnose issues, dismantle equipment, rebuild it, and get it operating smoothly with accuracy and confidence.
• You bring a strong mix of technical ability and problem solving, supported by real mechanical knowledge. When something needs fixing, you step in and get it sorted.
• You will be comfortable joining an on call roster from time to time.
• Experience in aviation is a major advantage. If you have worked in environments where precision, safety, and attention to detail are essential, you will be a strong fit.
• You think practically, act quickly, and stay composed under pressure. You are confident working on your own and you can manage small projects without supervision.
