Brand Ambassador - Auckland International Airport - Duty Store

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Brand Ambassador for Scapegrace Gin, you'll be the face of one of New Zealand's leading spirits brands. Working within a high-profile Duty-Free environment, your mission is to create exceptional customer experiences — from hosting tastings and sharing the Scapegrace story, to driving sales and ensuring our brand is represented with the utmost quality and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary focus of this role is to:

  • Engage and Inspire: Welcome and interact with customers, share the Scapegrace story, and confidently communicate tasting notes, product details, and brand values.

  • Host Tastings: Conduct engaging in-store tastings that showcase Scapegrace's premium portfolio, converting curiosity into purchase.

  • Drive Sales: Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales and achieve targets through creative upselling and customer engagement.

  • Maintain Brand Presentation: Ensure the Scapegrace display and tasting station are always immaculate, visually striking, and fully stocked.

  • Train Retail Staff: Provide brand and product training to Duty Free team members to enhance their knowledge and ability to recommend Scapegrace products.

  • Implement Incentives: Develop and activate staff engagement or reward initiatives to drive enthusiasm and sell-through.

  • Brand Representation: Uphold Scapegrace's premium brand image through professional presentation, conduct, and customer experience.

  • Strategic Thinking: Collaborate with brand and retail teams to develop and implement on-floor strategies that maximise visibility and performance.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A natural people person with exceptional communication and storytelling skills.

  • Confident hosting tastings and engaging with diverse international customers.

  • Passionate about premium spirits, hospitality, or luxury retail.

  • Highly organised, reliable, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

  • Sales-driven and confident identifying opportunities to up-sell.

  • Well-presented and professional at all times.

  • Previous experience in alcoholic retail, hospitality, or brand activation required
