We are looking for an experienced Senior Water Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years' experience within the water sector, along with proven expertise in the management and design of electrical and mechanical projects. This role will see you leading water infrastructure initiatives throughout both the design and construction stages.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water infrastructure projects, with a focus on pumping stations, treatment facilities, pipelines, and water distribution networks
  • Manage electrical and mechanical subcontractors and designers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee the preparation and review of engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and tender submissions
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes, reporting progress to senior management and clients
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary team collaboration, including hydraulic, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities to ensure alignment of project objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitated stakeholder engagement, risk assessments, value engineering, and ensured health, safety, and environmental standards were met throughout all projects.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Desirable to have 10 years' experience in water projects, with proven expertise in both electrical and mechanical project delivery and design
  • Strong track record managing major water projects from feasibility to commissioning
  • Familiarity with Australian/New Zealand codes, standards, and water authority requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
