CNC Machinist

At Formtool Engineering we are experiencing high growth in our markets and are currently looking for a qualified CNC Machinist who is confident in precision work to join our team.

If you are qualified with production experience and would like to expand your skills in precision machining and toolmaking, then this role is for you.

Formtool Engineering is a growing, privately owned manufacturing business based in East Tamaki, Auckland.  We offer a well-equipped workshop including EDM machines, CNCs, grinders, CAM, etc., and a great team environment where you have the opportunity to grow, learn new skills and are able to share and collaborate information with other team members.

Essential Skills:

• Experienced and confident in programming and running Fanuc CNC Lathe & CNC Milling machines
• Innovative and proactive attitude
• Fanuc and Siemens controllers experience
• CAD/CAM experience (Minimum CAD experience)
• High Quality of work/product within a given time frame
• Well organised, honest and punctual
• Good written and spoken English
• Good Math skills
• Works well individually or as part of a team
• Takes pride and ownership in your work from concept/drawing to a finished high-precision product

Desirable Skills/Interpersonal Skills:

• Fanuc Lathe experience
• Diligence, you make sure the work gets done.
• Machine maintenance and pride in keeping your workshop area clean and tidy
• A sense of humor
• Flexibility to help out where/when required
• Creativity
• Open-minded with good judgement
