The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support our Marlborough, Hawkes Bay, and regional vineyard operations. This role partners closely with leaders across Supply Chain & Operations to drive the people strategy, uplift capability, and support ongoing cultural evolution post-merger.

You will be a trusted advisor responsible for enabling high-performance culture, providing expert ER guidance, coaching leaders, and driving organisational improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, operational environments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Strategic HR & Business Partnering

• Partner with leaders to deliver HR strategies that support operational and cultural goals.

• Build strong, influential relationships with client groups across NZ operations.

• Coach leaders on performance, capability development, workforce planning and talent initiatives.

People & Performance

• Lead and support performance development processes, goal setting and calibration.

• Facilitate capability-building workshops and provide insights through people metrics.

Employee Relations

• Provide advice on legislation, policies and collective agreements.

• Manage complex ER matters including grievances, investigations, misconduct and performance issues.

• Engage constructively with unions and represent the business in relevant forums.

Change Management

• Support consultation processes including case building, communication, implementation and embedding new ways of working.

Remuneration & Talent

• Support annual remuneration cycles, workforce budgeting and reward recommendations.

• Partner with TA to ensure effective recruitment, onboarding and alignment to workforce needs.

Projects & Policy

• Contribute to people-related projects, policy updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety & Compliance

• Champion QSE standards, responsible behaviour and adherence to legislative and company requirements.

About You:

A proactive, people-focused HR professional who builds strong relationships, communicates with impact, and confidently supports leaders through change. You're organised, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple priorities across different sites. You bring sound judgement, strong ER capability, and a collaborative mindset, helping shape a high-performance and engaged culture. Including:

• Tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline preferred

• Proven HR Business Partnering experience in large, complex environments (FMCG/beverage ideal)

• Strong ER capability with sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation

• Demonstrated experience in performance culture, change management and coaching leaders

• Skilled in HR systems, reporting and Excel, with strong attention to detail

• Confident managing complex or high-risk ER matters

• Experience negotiating or working within collective agreements

• Global or multi-site organisation experience

• SuccessFactors or similar HRIS exposure
