Description
Due to continued customer requirements, we have an exciting opening as a Senior Engineer supporting the worlds largest manufacturing company & other Systal customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the organisation's network infrastructure. This includes:
designing, configuring, and supporting DataCenter/WAN/LAN/WLAN infrastructures.
provide lifecycle management, quality assurance, customer communications, and technical/troubleshooting support.
Alongside the technical knowledge required for this role, you will also be required to manage and mentor a team of network engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development
Ability to confidently provide analysis, CSIP suggestions and work with the customer to understand their pipeline of technology and how Systal can proactively support this.
This position can require working outside office hours on scheduled changes, provide on-call support for high severity incidents and participate in meetings/activity at customer location if requested.
Key Requirements
Experience configuring Cisco IOS-XE Routers and Switches
Understanding of SD-WAN
Routing Protocols including OMP, BGP, EIGRP and OSPF.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Wireless Networks
Extensive experience with switching and associated layer 2 configuration
Significant experience dealing with large and complex firewalls - ideally Palo Alto
Knowledge of Azure networking and security
Knowledge of physical cabling and layer 2 standards: Ethernet, fibre, etc.
Excellent communication, client interface and project management skills required.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Cisco Certifications preferred: CCNP, CCSP, CCDP.
