My client, a global reinsurer is currently looking for an Actuary with strong experience investigations background to join their team on a twelve month fixed term contact.

  • Support annual experience studies by leveraging the data analytics capabilities to derive insights, propose changes to assumptions & make the process more efficient and robust.
  • Taking a leading role in further developing management information in relation to its portfolio experience. Supporting the work of the valuation and pricing teams where necessary.
  • Take a leading role in developing statistically sound models and latest techniques to analyse the data available. Derive relevant insights from the analyses, document findings and conduct briefing sessions for key stakeholders. Link different sources of data (internal and external) to enrich the data analytics capabilities.
  • Keep abreast of the operational matters of cedants and developments in the broader market to better understand the drivers of changing experience.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the successful completion of projects of a various nature. This may include co-ordination and management of some projects from their initial stages to their completion.
  • Assist with the professional development of junior staff . Provide business and technical support to junior staff
