Build a secure, data-intensive SaaS platform from scratch. You'll architect and deliver a production-ready MVP with complex calculation logic, regulatory compliance checking, and bank-level security. This is proper engineering work—not another CRUD app.

The Stack

Frontend: React | Backend: + Express | Database: MySQL or PostgreSQL | Cloud: AWS (RDS, EC2/Lightsail, S3, IAM) | Security: Encryption at rest/transit, MFA, key management

What You'll Build

Secure database system with complex relational architecture and versioning. Calculation engine with multi-variable formulas and validation. Compliance checking system with extensible regulatory rules. Security layer with encryption architecture and access control. You'll own database schema design, API architecture, encryption strategy, AWS infrastructure, deployment, and technical decisions.

Essential Skills

7+ years full-stack development with strong architectural judgment. Security-conscious mindset with proven implementation experience. Database design for complex data relationships. AWS deployment experience. Track record taking projects from zero to production. Independent worker who can own technical decisions.

Highly Valued

Experience with calculation-heavy or scientific applications. Built secure systems handling sensitive data. Regulatory or compliance software background. Strong opinions on code quality backed by experience.

What You'll Get

$120-140/hour based on experience. 2-3 months to MVP, start ASAP. Hybrid or remote flexibility. Real technical ownership and autonomy. Full Figma designs, reference code, and direct stakeholder access. Strong possibility of ongoing work post-MVP.
