About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join a leading Christchurch-based manufacturer known for its innovation and precision engineering. This is a permanent, full-time position offering long-term stability and the chance to work with advanced CNC machinery in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

In this role, you will be responsible for programming and setting CNC machines to meet exact specifications, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently. You will interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strict quality standards. Collaboration is key – you will work closely with a tight-knit team that values communication and continuous improvement.

To be successful you will need:

  • Trade qualification in machining or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience working as a Programmer or CNC Machinist
  • 3-5 axis machining centre programming experience (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years running and setting CNC machines
  • Mastercam experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
