Kokiri West Coast, New Zealand ANZCO Foods Full time NZ$200,000 - NZ$340,000 per year

We have an opportunity for a New Zealand registered electrician to join the team at ANZCO Foods Kokiri. As a leading food processer in New Zealand this position offers long term career opportunities with the additional benefit of security and stability. This permanent full-time position. Some weekend work may be required at times. This position reports directly to Site Services Manager.

If you hold a current practicing certificate as a NZ registered electrician, and have a considerable understanding of the health & safety requirements for a processing/manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you. Ongoing training and support will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all required electrical maintenance is completed safely, in line with all regulations and on time
  • Fault finding and repair of electrical control systems and perform ongoing monitoring
  • Complete the installation of new site processes and equipment including PLC
  • Ensure all electrical equipment on site is safe for use.
  • Ensure all work and electrical systems on site comply with all NZ standards, ANZCO operating procedures and Health & Safety requirements and legislation

Skills and Experience we are looking for:

  • At least 5 years working knowledge of electrical systems, electronics and engineering systems
  • NZ qualified registered electrician with current practicing license
  • Strong experience in diagnosing problems associated with electrical and process control
  • Experience in fault-finding and repair of industrial equipment
  • Ability to coordinate support via external suppliers and technical specialists
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and auditing systems for food industry compliance
  • Computer literacy
