About Investr
Investr is a growth-stage, Kiwi-owned start-up (an arm of Mike Greer Homes) focused on supporting New Zealanders through the entire property-investment journey. We work with first-time investors and experienced property owners alike — helping them clarify their goals, select investment opportunities, manage partner referrals (e.g., mortgage brokers, solicitors, property managers), and deliver a seamless end-to-end investment experience. We're agile, ambitious and deeply committed to delivering real value to our clients.
As we scale, we are looking for a driven, high-performing individual who thrives on results, is comfortable taking initiative, and wants to build something meaningful in a dynamic environment.
Purpose of the Role
As a Property Investment Specialist, you will be at the forefront of the client journey. You'll engage with prospective investors, conduct discovery consultations, guide them through the planning, acquisition and management phases of property investment, and deliver exceptional client outcomes. You will operate as a contractor on a commission-only basis, giving you maximum upside for performance
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual consultations with clients to understand their investment goals, appetite, and timelines.
- Develop tailored investment solutions that align closely with each client's property goals and long-term strategy.
- Coordinate and manage referrals and relationships with mortgage brokers, solicitors, property managers and other partner services to ensure client execution from start to finish.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients (lead generation, networking, follow-up).
- Manage the end-to-end client journey through the 'Process' framework: discovery → strategy development → acquisition → ongoing support.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, record-keeping and client communication consistent with best practice.
- Continuously monitor personal performance metrics and adapt approach to maximise outcomes and commission.
- Present at Investr seminars and client events, sharing property investment insights and representing the brand with professionalism and confidence.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help Investr refine its processes, product offering and client-journey roadmap as the business grows.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record in sales, consulting or client-facing advisory roles – ideally in property, real-estate investment, financial services or related fields.
- Hungry, self-motivated, driven to win – you thrive under commission-only remuneration and you are focused on results.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: you build rapport easily, ask great questions, and listen to truly understand clients.
- Comfortable working in a startup / fast-moving environment: adaptable, a self-starter, able to wear multiple hats and influence in an evolving business.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills: you manage your own pipeline and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Work from our Christchurch CBD office while being available to host or attend open homes and client meetings outside standard business hours as needed.
- An active interest in property investment, market dynamics, and what drives returns for investors.
- A current Financial Advice (FA) license (or ability/willingness to obtain one) is a strong advantage but not mandatory.
- Professional presentation and high ethical standards; ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality.
What You'll Get
- Unlimited earning potential, aligned with your performance.
- The opportunity to be part of a scaling, Kiwi-owned business in the property investment space, with impact and growth potential.
- Access to high-quality investment opportunities, strong brand support and partner referral network.
- Flexible working arrangement, with freedom to manage your own schedule and deliver value for clients.
- Mentorship and collaboration with senior leadership as Investr develops its systems, processes and team.
