Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Engineer
to lead the design, development, and maintenance of data engineering solutions and platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure production stability, implement enhancements, support lifecycle management of data applications, and work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to drive data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery management for data engineering and platform applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data models, pipelines, and integration workflows.
  • Provide L2 & L3 support for data platform applications, including incident resolution, problem management, and change implementation.
  • Perform root cause analysis and deploy permanent fixes for prioritized issues.
  • Manage enhancements and development activities, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve incidents and ensure platform stability.
  • Ensure compliance with approved change management processes and governance standards.
  • Track effort and progress using tools such as Jira or equivalent.

Must-Have Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong experience in
    Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and ETL processes
    .
  • Hands-on expertise with
    Teradata, Snowflake, dbt (Core & Cloud), Airflow, Azure Blob, Fivetran, BitBucket, Python, Rclone
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Python and scripting
    for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Familiarity with
    orchestration tools and version control systems
    (e.g., BitBucket).
  • Solid understanding of
    incident, problem, and change management processes
    .
  • Ability to work in an
    agile environment
    and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent
    problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement
    skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and
    mentor junior engineers
    .
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on
    quality and compliance
    .
  • Experience working closely with
    Data Governance Leaders, Automation Engineers, and Business Stakeholders
    .
