Full Time | Alpine Buildings & Attika | Timaru
Bring stories to life. Capture projects that shape skylines.
Alpine Buildings (specialising in the rural construction of farm buildings) and Attika (industry leaders in commercial and industrial construction) are looking for a creative powerhouse to join their team. If you're an experienced Videographer/Photographer who thrives on turning real-world projects into compelling visual content, this could be your dream role.
What you'll be doing
No two days look the same. This role is a mix of capturing content out on rural and commercial construction sites nationwide, through to editing and producing platform-ready content back at the office. There is some out-of-region travel requiring overnight stays.
You will be:
- Capturing high-quality video and photography of projects during and after construction
- Shooting and producing client testimonials and case studies
- Filming short educational/information pieces with our team (social content, webinars, YouTube, etc.)
- Operating a range of gear — drones, GoPro, gimbals, DSLR/mirrorless
- Editing content into polished, platform-ready outputs (social, website, YouTube, presentations)
- Managing media storage, storyboards, and content planning to keep projects on schedule
- Continually looking for new and innovative ways to tell stories and showcase Alpine/Attika's work
What we're looking for
You're confident on-site, great with people, and comfortable working independently from concept to finished product. You will also collaborate effortlessly with the marketing and project teams, supporting each other to ensure everyone's goals are aligned. You have:
- Proven videography and photography experience (portfolio required)
- Strong editing and post-production skills
- Knowledge of social media formats and trends (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)
- Creative storytelling ability — you see the shot before it happens
- Drone and GoPro experience (drone certification is a plus)
- Ability to convert raw footage into content that engages, informs, and impresses, as well as staying on brand with the Alpine Buildings and Attika
Bonus points if you have experience in construction environments, or similar project-based storytelling.
Why join Alpine Buildings/Attika?
- Work with two innovative, forward-thinking companies
- Own the creative function — your ideas will actually get used
- A supportive team that values creativity, autonomy, and fresh thinking
- Competitive salary + gear, tech, and support
And did we mention the brand new premises (currently under construction) Alpine Buildings and Attika are moving into early 2026, which include a custom-built recording studio?
This is a rare chance to shape and grow an in-house creative function while working on meaningful, real-world projects.
