Drivesure Vehicle Testing is a delivery partner for NZTA undertaking vehicle inspections for a wide variety of customers through 3 operating divisions and 5 locations in Auckland and Hamilton.

Established in 2007, business has well developed business processes and a flat structure, delivering 50,000 vehicle inspections annually. And there is room to grow.

Drivesure's success lies in it's brand strength, service delivery and people. We now wish to appoint a General Manager to lead the business into its next phase.

Role Description

This role is based in Henderson, Auckland. The General Manager will lead the operations of the company, ensuring that the business is well-coordinated, profitable and meeting the needs of our stakeholders..

This is primarily a people leadership role delivering commercial outcomes in a technical/regulatory services environment.

Key responsibilities include operational oversight, implementing business strategies, evaluating performance, and managing staff. Our sector is constantly evolving and leading balanced business evolution and improvement is essential.

The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company policies, and promoting the company within the industry.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Proficiency in using management software and tools
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Commercial outcomes in a Regulatory environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.

Remuneration includes a base salary, vehicle and performance bonus linked to clear KPI's.

Applicants must have a relevant tertiary qualification, demonstrate multi team management experience, have a valid New Zealand Drivers License and be New Zealand Resident. A Fit and Proper and Criminal History Check is required.
