Our team is seeking a Sales Assistant to be an ambassador for our values and a curator of the customer experience in our Ponsonby Store. You will purposefully connect with every customer in our spaces, transforming simple interactions into delightful experiences of our brand. Through expert guidance and product knowledge, you will craft an inclusive, thoughtful journey that converts connection into commercial momentum.

This role is permanent part-time, 35 hours per week, Tuesday through to Saturday. Join us during an exciting growth phase, supporting our ambitious 2026 expansion

Day-to-day

  • Collective Success: Drive sales and meet team targets as a dedicated Sales Assistant, translating genuine customer interaction into commercial growth.

  • Customer Experience & Community: Hosting customers to the highest standard, contributing to the growth of the WE-AR community

  • Operations & Logistics: Fulfilling online store orders, processing stock transfers/receipts, and ensuring accurate inventory.

  • Store Aesthetic: Maintaining visual merchandising and store presentation and operating the store during sole charge shifts.
  • Brand Support: Responding to customer service inquiries (calls, emails), and assisting with events where required

The Skills & Attributes We Seek

We are looking for a candidate who is deeply passionate about ethical fashion.

  • Experience: Proven customer service and sales experience, ideally in fashion or retail. Familiarity with Lightspeed or similar POS is highly desirable
  • Communication: Ability to introduce the brand story to new and existing customers
  • Values Alignment: Values-led, and aligned with WE-AR's mission for an ethical, sustainable business
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on all details to ensure accuracy in Store operations
  • Independence: A responsible and trustworthy attitude with the ability to effectively manage the store when working autonomously
