Fruehauf NZ Ltd, a trusted leader in trailer manufacturing and supply, is seeking an experienced Fridge Technician to join our growing team in Christchurch. This is your opportunity to represent a premium product range and make a valuable contribution to the business.

About the Role

The Fridge Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and commissioning of Schmitz Cargobull refrigeration systems on Fruehauf trailers and other alternative brands. This role plays a key part in ensuring the performance, reliability, and compliance of high-quality refrigerated transport units.

The successful candidate will be required to be available for additional on-call hours (outside business hours) for repair services.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 10 years in a similar role;
• Solid technical and operational expertise to provide the best advice to customers;
• Strong customer relationship building and effective communication skills;
• Ability to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs including electric and diesel hybrid models;
• Attention to detail, maintaining high standard of workmanship
• Time management, meeting deadlines, after hours and managing workload efficiency
• Health and safety awareness, working within company H&S guidelines at all times
• Adaptability to be flexible with tasks undertaken for the good of the whole operation
