About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and polished Cafe Manager to take the lead at our exclusive Clubhouse Restaurant. Reporting to the Rosewood Restaurant Management team, you'll be the face of the Clubhouse – running day-to-day operations with confidence, charm, and precision.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with high standards, a great personality, and ideally, a passion for golf. You'll lead a small, dedicated team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile (and probably a great coffee or glass of Hawke's Bay wine in hand).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse food & beverage service
• Manage and inspire a small team to deliver world-class hospitality
• Drive guest satisfaction through impeccable service and attention to detail
• Maintain strong control of inventory, ordering, and stock levels
• Create rosters, manage timesheets, and ensure smooth scheduling
• Coach and train staff to uphold the highest standards
• Identify and implement opportunities to grow revenue and enhance the guest experience

About You

We're after someone who is:

• Professionally experienced – minimum 3 years in a senior food & beverage or restaurant leadership role, ideally in a luxury or clubhouse setting
• Organised and detail-oriented – you thrive in fast-paced, high-expectation environments
• A true host – friendly, approachable, and confident, with an infectious smile
• Team-focused – a natural leader who communicates clearly and motivates others
• Service-driven – nothing makes you happier than a guest who's blown away by their experience
• Passionate about golf – whether you're a weekend warrior or just love the sport, your enthusiasm will resonate with our guests

Barista skills, wine knowledge, and a love for the Hawke's Bay lifestyle are all welcome bonuses.

What We Offer

• Full-time, permanent role in one of New Zealand's most iconic luxury resorts
• A salaried position for 45 hours over 5 days per week. Paying between $65,000 and $70,000 (depending on experience). For any work on additional days, time in lieu is accruable.
