This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week

The remuneration range for this role is $74,325 to $104,929 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience

The opportunity
As a Technical Advisor, you'll provide day-to-day operational and technical support to ensure water, wastewater and stormwater issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You'll investigate customer concerns, assess network performance, specify required works, and verify that maintenance and repairs meet regional standards. Working closely with field crews, capital delivery teams and customer teams, you'll help keep the network safe, reliable and performing at its best.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Investigate water and drainage issues and provide technical advice
  • Develop scopes of work and support field crews to deliver repairs
  • Monitor planned and reactive maintenance and verify work quality
  • Plan and approve water shutdowns and maintain network information
  • Engage with customers on private property issues and support resolution
  • To overview and be party to site walk overs on completion of Capital (capex) works and vested assets.

About You
To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, investigation and analytical capability
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, use digital systems and report accurately
  • A Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License
  • Experience in water reticulation operations or similar fieldwork
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • Relevant technical or trade qualification, or equivalent experience
