About the Role

We're seeking an AI Engineer on a contract basis to design, develop, and deploy responsible AI solutions that support environmental sustainability and policy initiatives. This role involves working with data, machine learning models, and cloud platforms to deliver impactful, ethical AI systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy AI and machine learning models
  • Build and maintain secure, high-quality data pipelines
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and policy teams
  • Implement scalable MLOps practices for reliable AI systems
  • Ensure AI solutions align with ethical, environmental, and cultural values
  • Maintain governance, transparency, and data sovereignty standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3+ years in AI/ML engineering or related roles
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy
  • Familiarity with Agile and CI/CD principles and ML lifecycle
  • Desirable: Responsible AI expertise, NLP, computer vision, climate modelling experience
