Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to support the delivery of a national technology programme. This role is ideal for someone who's confident working with stakeholders, comfortable driving project activity, and able to keep delivery on track in a fast-moving environment. We will be preferring candidates with immediate availability.

Contract Details:

  • Length: 6 months
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Location: Onsite in Christchurch

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating and managing day-to-day project activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are met
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clear communication, alignment, and expectations
  • Supporting project planning, scheduling, reporting, and risk/issue management
  • Providing structure and visibility to the wider programme team
  • Ensuring project documentation, governance processes, and progress updates are maintained to a high standard

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Intermediate Project Manager in the IT (Information Technology) space
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and keep people engaged
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycles, delivery frameworks, and general IT environments
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Someone proactive, confident, and able to step in and keep momentum across the programme
  • Must have valid NZ work authorization
