About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Team Leader to join the Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Service at Tauranga Hospital. This position provides essential leadership and guidance to the administration team within the Service (ACMHAS).

The successful candidate will enjoy a challenging and busy role, you will be able to use your initiative to problem solve, while having superb interpersonal and computer skills.

Key tasks/duties of the role are, but not limited to:

  • Guidance, leadership, and oversight of the HR and development of the ACMHAS administration team
  • Overseeing of the day-to-day operations in both in Tauranga and Whakatāne teams
  • Education and mentoring support towards the wider Mental Health administration team
  • Providing administration support to the Business Leader for Mental Health and Addictions.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be enthusiastic, solution focussed and have a professional approach in all that you do, you will also enjoy working in a varying, agile environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Outstanding organisational, administrative and customer service skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ideally with previous experience in leadership, team coordination, training and able to handle multiple demands of a busy day to day service
  • Integrity around privacy and confidentiality
  • Skilled in excel, word, visio and power point
  • Previous experience in the NZ healthcare sector is advantageous

A key function of the position will require you to lead and coordinate the ACMHAS administration team therefore strong people skills are paramount.
