Teacher Aide - South Auckland Unit (Takanini).

Permanent part time hours per week).  Term time only - school holidays unpaid.

Start date: Start Term 1, 2026.

New year, new job? Potential opportunity for someone to work close to home in this permanent, part-time teacher aide role where you would join a dedicated team of teachers at our South Auckland school unit, next to the Kauri Flats school in Takanini.

As a Teacher Aide, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support the individual learning needs of students/ākonga. This role includes assisting with curriculum delivery, preparing classroom resources, and working directly with students under the guidance of a team of teachers. The work is rewarding and meaningful as you'll be making a genuine difference in the lives of young people experiencing health challenges.

This role will suit someone with warmth, empathy, excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, and the ability to build professional, respectful relationships with students. Tangata Pasifika connections or the ability to speak Te reo Māori would be highly regarded but not essential.

A full clean NZ drivers license and police vet necessary for this role.
