Cummins Technician Apprenticeship – Heavy Automotive Engineering, Road Transport
· Upon entry to the program, possess or commence a Certificate in Automotive Engineering (Level 3)
· Undertake a Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4) Road Transport to become a fully qualified Cummins Technician

Working under the supervision of a qualified Cummins Technician, you will learn everything that comes with the diagnosis and repair of Cummins engines and products.

Mechanical starter toolkit provided upon commencement.
· Obtain a Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Road Transport.
· Complete off-the-job training with our partner training organization.
· Receive structured on-the-job training, under the supervision of the qualified technicians and supervisors in your workshop.
· Gain your experience working on a range of our world class Cummins engine products.
· Improve your technical expertise by completing a range of engine product training with Cummins Technical Trainers as you progress through your apprenticeship.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
· Excellent level of language, literacy, and numeracy skills
A willingness to work across regional areas and rotate through different departments to gain experience on automotive, industrial, marine, and mining engine products as you progress through your apprenticeship.
· Right to work in New Zealand
Preference to have completed year 13 or equivalent.
· A strong focus on safety and wellbeing that will lead to a successful career at Cummins.
