We are looking for Casual Lifeguards to join our team in Ohakea.

We currently have an opportunity for a Lifeguard. Join our team and play a key role in keeping people safe and spotting potential hazards in our pool area. Reporting to Pool Team Leader/Lifeguard, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

Spotless Facilities Services (a Downer Company) delivers a range of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services to New Zealand Defence Force.

What You'll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Patrolling the pool(s) in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the site.
  • Undertaking regular checks of water temperature and water quality.
  • Maintaining outstanding presentation of our facilities.
  • Providing great customer service to our pool users.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills (experience required)

  • You will be physically fit and must be a competent swimmer. You will enjoy being poolside and helping our customers to have a great pool experience.
  • Ideally, you will have a current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate and a current First Aid Certificate. Training will be provided for the right candidates.
  • You will need to be reliable, willing to work shifts and able to roll your sleeves up to get the work done. Good verbal communication skills, plus a happy disposition, will complement your personal tool kit.
