Industry Trainer (Full-Time and Contract Opportunities)

Are you passionate about sharing your industry experience to make a real difference in workplace safety?

At Besafe Training Ltd, we're a Category 1 Private Training Establishment specialising in delivering high-impact, NZQA-accredited training to New Zealand's construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

We're currently seeking one full-time Industry Trainer and contract training partners to join our talented delivery team.

About the Role

You'll be the face of Besafe — inspiring learners, supporting employers, and ensuring every trainee leaves confident, competent, and work-ready.

You'll deliver engaging, practical training that meets NZQA and Workforce Development Council standards across one or more of our specialist areas:

  • Industrial Safety – Confined Space Entry, Gas Detection, Working at Height, Permit to Work
  • Machine Operations – Forklift, Wheels/Tracks/Rollers (WTR) Endorsements, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
  • Health and Safety Management – Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation
  • Emergency Response – Fire Extinguisher, Fire & Emergency Warden, First Aid

What We're Looking For

We're interested in trainers and industry professionals who are:

  • Passionate about developing people's skills and safety awareness
  • Confident communicators who thrive in front of a group
  • Organised, reliable, and committed to delivering quality training
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experienced in one or more of the above training categories
  • Holding (or working towards) NZQA Unit Standard 4098 – Use Standards to Assess Candidate Performance, or equivalent
  • For contractors – holding relevant workplace assessor or industry qualifications
