We are recruiting for a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

Maintain, repair, and service trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure fleet safety, efficiency, and compliance with NZTA and ACFS Health & Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, service and repair engines, transmissions, trailers, braking, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

· Complete scheduled servicing, inspections, and COF pre-checks.

· Carry out workshop and roadside repairs, including urgent callouts / breakdowns.

· Maintain accurate service records and compliance with NZTA, WorkSafe, and company policies through Eroad

· Keep workshop tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good order.

· Identify and resolve recurring mechanical issues and stay updated with new technologies.

· Support a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment.

Skills & Qualifications

· NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).

· Proven diesel mechanic experience with trucks/trailers.

· Strong knowledge of braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical and driveline systems.

· Diagnostic and repair skills using modern tools.

· NZ Driver License (Class 5 required)

· Strong H&S awareness, ability to work independently and in a team.

· Strong awareness of cost control
