Manaaki Tāngata | Victim Support, National Contact Service (NCS) provides a nationwide 24-hour response service to victims of crime and traumatic events. We are seeking a permanent Support Navigator to join our NCS team, working 26 hours per week.  This is a hybrid working position.

This role is based in Wellington, and the core responsibilities include:

  • Answering calls from Police, Victims, Victims of Crime Information Line, employees, and other appropriate lines as advised.
  • Providing initial screening, intake, triage, assessment, and Support Worker allocation to victims of crime and traumatic events, ensuring that cases are directed to the appropriate area based on needs, requirements, and priorities.
  • Providing support to victims of incidents classified as low level
  • Accurate, appropriate and timely entry of records in Victim Support databases and systems.

The role hours will be:  Saturday pm, Sunday pm and Tuesday 9pm - Wednesday 7am (overnight shift).  This is a hybrid position, with all shifts worked from home.Remuneration for the role is $41,600 per annum for 26 hours. (pro rata from the full-time remuneration of $64,000).  An additional weekly allowance of $50 is also provided for the overnight shift.
